About the Project:

What started as a dream of a Gold Star family in Pecos, Texas, quickly became a community project that everyone rallied around. In order to honor the people of the community who have served and lost their lives for our country, a beautiful Veterans Memorial Park was created using local donations. Project planners knew that this would be the pride and joy of the city and would likely see a lot of foot traffic, making an ultra durable surface necessary. ForeverLawn Landscape synthetic turf seemed like the perfect solution to give the park a beautiful, natural looking surface that can withstand the heavy foot traffic. The team at ForeverLawn West Texas installed 21,275 square feet of ForeverLawn^® Select HD synthetic grass, giving the park a bright, pristine look that’s really special for the veterans of Pecos. “Through many donations and local funding, this Memorial Park has become a garden in the desert to honor those who have served, and those who have paid the ultimate price for our liberty,” says Howdy Lisenbee, Assistant City Manager of Pecos, Texas.
